Fall is such a beautiful time in Michigan. It’s also one of my busiest times! The beautiful fall colors, the not too hot and {hopefully} not too cold temperatures, the gorgeous warm evening light. It really is my favorite time of year. It’s also a pretty fabulous time of year to get married. Or, have family photos, or senior photos, or really any photos taken. So, if you are my friend, or are friends with any photographers – you may not see us much in the fall because chances are good that they are shooting or editing! I’m just finally getting to blog my fall sessions, and I’m so excited to share all of the gorgeous faces I was able to capture!
Rebecca and Bret are two of the kindest people I have ever met. Rebecca is the cousin of one of my very good friends, and I remember when she first started dating Bret. We were in a book club (of sorts) together. It was more of a get together and eat yummy food kind of book club – which I think is the best kind. I was so excited when I heard that Bret had popped the question, and we met to discuss wedding plans!
Rebecca and Bret were married at Zingermans Cornman Farms which was one of the most beautiful venues I’ve had the pleasure of shooting at. The farm house and kitchen are open, and you can sit and watch their amazing chefs prepare fresh farm-to-table meals. Their barn was the perfect setting for their fall decor. Rebecca has worked as a pastry chef, and she planned every detail of the wedding. She put so much thought an consideration into each decision, their guests were treated to a fabulous day. It was truly magical. From the pumpkins, to the beautiful flowers, the fun lawn games and the Zingerman’s wedding pie – it was warm, welcoming, and fun throughout.
Rebecca’s wardrobe details were so beautiful. The dress, her cowboy boots, and her gorgeous handmade broach bouquet {flown in from overseas} were stunning. Each item was meticulously planned and perfectly executed. It was also the best food I’ve ever eaten at a wedding {as a guest or a vendor} and I happen to visit a lot of wedding venues in this job!! The best part of the day was how happy Rebecca and Bret were. They truly seemed happy to be married, and enjoying their day together. I wish them all of the happiness in the world, and a long happy life together!!
